Abdirisack Iftin is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in writing, speaking, and translation. Currently serving as a Communications Specialist for Church World Service since October 2021, Abdirisack also contributes as a Writer, Speaker, and Translator for Penguin Random House since January 2021, and as a Writer for Callmeamerican.com since June 2018, focusing on themes of immigration and life as a refugee in the United States. Additionally, Abdirisack has a long-standing association with WUNC-FM 91.5 North Carolina Public Radio since September 2010 and has worked as an interpreter since October 2014. Abdirisack holds a degree in Political Science and Government from Boston College and also attended Africa Nazarene University from 2012 to 2014.
