Michael Hood

Michael Hood is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Vice President of Architecture at Wunderkind since April 2022. Prior to this role, Michael was a Principal Engineer at NS1, where a focus on performance and the introduction of best practices in profiling and tracing were emphasized. At Optimizely, Michael led performance initiatives and worked with customers to enhance implementations, while also holding responsibilities as Staff CDN Engineer overseeing CDN, DNS, and Edge architecture. Previous experience includes serving as Scalability Architect at Boundary, where the design of highly-scalable systems was achieved, and as Lead Engineer at Life360, where Michael managed large-scale PHP and Python applications. A consulting career that spanned over a decade included advising on scalability challenges and architecting solutions for new projects.
