Fangwei Gu

Fangwei Gu is a seasoned professional in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as Director and Head of Content Strategy and Design at WuXi AppTec since January 2016. Under Fangwei's leadership, WuXi's WeChat platform grew significantly, increasing from 10,000 to over 700,000 subscribers. Previous roles at WuXi include Associate Director and Assistant Director, where Fangwei managed the WeChat team and served as Editor in Chief of the channel. Fangwei is also a member of the American Society of Plant Biologists and has presented research at its annual meeting. In addition, Fangwei has experience as a freelance writer focusing on health and technology. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Michigan, complemented by a B.S. in Biotechnology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
