Alissa Swarts has held several positions throughout their work experience. Alissa started their career as a Music Teacher in the Lakeland School District in 2014 and stayed in this role until February 2023. In 2019, they transitioned to become an Artist in Residence at The Ritz Theater and Performing Arts Center. Currently, Alissa Swarts is the Director of Education at WVIA.
Alissa Swarts obtained a PA Teacher's Certificate in Music K-12 from Marywood University. Alissa then pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Mathematics at Bucknell University, from 1997 to 2001. Later, from 2001 to 2003, they attended Northwestern University, where they earned their Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting.
