Ruta Ulcinaite is an experienced reporter currently working at WXYZ-TV since September 2023. Previously, Ruta served as a reporter and anchor at FOX 17 : WXMI TV from June 2021 to September 2023, where responsibilities included anchoring weekday morning broadcasts and being part of a political team that covered major events and investigations. Prior to that, Ruta worked as a Multimedia Journalist/Reporter at KMTV-Scripps Media Omaha, focusing on elections and general news coverage, and leading a COVID-19 franchise. Early career experiences include roles at Focal Point News and HOMTV, emphasizing anchoring, reporting, and producing. Ruta holds a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from Michigan State University and completed a program at John Cabot University in 2018.
