James Hood MA.Ed. is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in teaching and curriculum development. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at Collin College since February 2024 and as a Business and Finance Instructor at Wylie Independent School District since August 2013, James has demonstrated a strong commitment to innovative teaching methods and differentiated instruction. Previous roles include teaching computer applications and managing a video production course at Mt. Diablo Unified School District from August 2007 to June 2013, as well as working as an Implementation Coordinator at First Advantage from June 1999 to September 2008, where James developed training programs for Fortune 1000 companies. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration and a Master of Arts in Educational, Instructional, and Curriculum Supervision from Brandman University and the University of Phoenix, respectively, along with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix.

Wylie ISD is a fast-growing school district in southern Collin County, 25 miles northeast of metropolitan Dallas. Covering 41 square miles, the district serves more than 18,000 students.
