Patrick Minton has over 20 years of work experience in the semiconductor industry. Patrick started their career as a Lab Assistant at the Center for Advanced Manufacturing Processes and Materials, NCSU, where they worked from 1998 to 2001. After that, they joined Infineon Technologies as a Process Engineer, specializing in PECVD and ALD, and worked there for seven years. In 2008, they became a Section Manager for Thin Films at Qimonda. Patrick later joined Sunfilm as a Senior Product Engineer from 2009 to 2010. From 2010 to 2017, they worked at GLOBALFOUNDRIES as a Manager. Currently, they are the Head of Process Integration / Yield Enhancement at X-FAB, where they have been since 2017. In addition, they have managerial experience in yield engineering, process integration, defect management, and test engineering.
Patrick Minton attended White Oak High School in Jacksonville, NC, from 1992 to 1996 and received a high school diploma. Patrick then went on to study Materials Science & Engineering at North Carolina State University from 1996 to 2001. In 1998, they also briefly studied Textile Sciences and Engineering at ESTIT in Lille, France.
