Steven Halm, DO, FAAP, FACP, FACOI, currently serves as the Founding Dean and Professor at Xavier University, leading the establishment of the nation's first Jesuit Catholic Osteopathic Medical School in Cincinnati, OH. Prior to this, Steven Halm was the Medical School Dean at Des Moines University from July 2019 to January 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing academic outcomes, strategic planning, and managing a $23 million budget to train primary care physicians. Previous roles include Assistant Dean and Chair of Simulation Medicine at Campbell University, Medical Director of Clinical Evaluation at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, and Senior Aviation Medical Examiner with the FAA. Additionally, Steven Halm has extensive experience as a physician and senior partner at Triad Medicine and Pediatric Associates, as well as serving as Chief of Staff at Cone Health. Steven Halm's medical education includes degrees from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Allegheny College.
