Brian Owen

Brian Owen, MBA, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic sourcing and planning within the construction and engineering sectors. Currently serving as a Strategic Sourcing Leader at Xcel Energy since 2009, Brian manages sourcing efforts for Transmission/Substation Construction and Gas/Electric Distribution across multiple operating companies and states. Brian has held various leadership roles in the industry, including Director of Purchasing at Meritage Homes and Director of Internal Operations at Neumann Homes. Brian's background also includes project management positions at Structural Associates and Verado. Brian holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from the University of Colorado Boulder and an MBA from the University of Colorado Denver. Additionally, Brian contributes as a board member of WPAC and has led implementation of the SRM program for top suppliers and contractors.
