Albert Gootzen

Director Quality at Xeltis

Albert Gootzen has a long and varied work experience. Albert began their career in 1998 as a Project Manager at Corus. In 2001, they joined Philips Research as a Project Manager and System Architect, where they were responsible for the design and in-house manufacturing of brain probes for clinical research trials, as well as the design and process development of deep brain stimulation leads. In 2013, they moved to Sapiens Steering Brain Stimulation as a Lead System Architect. In 2015, they joined Medtronic as a Lead System Architect and Senior Program Manager. In 2017, they began working at Xeltis as a Director of Quality, Senior Quality Manager, and Project Manager/Quality Manager.

Albert Gootzen completed their PhD in Chemical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology between 1993 and 1997. Prior to that, they obtained their Master's degree in Chemistry from Radboud University between 1988 and 1993.
