Dirk Olivier

Dirk Olivier is a seasoned professional in the nuclear field with extensive experience spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Consultant at X Energy, LLC since 2016, Dirk has a rich background that includes roles as a Nuclear Consultant for Independent Nuclear Consultants from 1996 to 2010, where consulting work was performed for the National Nuclear Regulator, Eskom, and PBMR(Pty) Ltd. Prior to this consulting work, Dirk held significant positions at Eskom, including Chief Physicist for Nuclear Fuel and Head of the Reactor Physics Department, as well as serving as a Reactor Physicist. Dirk Olivier earned a Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, between 1974 and 1992.
