Yong Yu

Principal Investigator at Xiamen University

Yong Yu serves as a Principal Investigator at both Xiamen University and the School of Life Sciences, Xiamen University since September 2019. Previously, Yong Yu was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Baylor College of Medicine from September 2011 to August 2019, under the mentorship of Dr. Meng Wang. Prior to this position, Yong Yu gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant at the Chinese Academy of Sciences from September 2006 to July 2011, focusing on the physiological and pathological mechanisms of vesicle trafficking in C. elegans. Additionally, Yong Yu was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Michigan from November 2007 to April 2008. Yong Yu holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cell Biology and Biophysics from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2006-2011) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology from Xiamen University (2002-2006).
