Lei Zhang

Lei Zhang currently serves as the VP of Technology at Xiaohongshu, overseeing the company's technology infrastructure, including IDC, engineering efficiency, and AI platforms. Previous roles include Director of Feed Recommendation at Xiaohongshu, VP of AI at YY Inc., and CTO at Tianrang, where Lei built a computer Go player that triumphed over a top-ranked player. At Baidu, Lei was a Principal Architect and Senior Architect, focusing on large-scale machine learning strategies for ad click-through rate prediction. Early career experience includes a research and management role at IBM, where Lei contributed to the development of the IBM Watson system. Lei obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
