Bart Riley has extensive experience in the technology and battery industries, currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer at XL Batteries since June 2022. Previously, Bart co-founded and worked as Chief Technology Officer at Conamix, focusing on advancements in lithium batteries. As Founder and CEO of Metalenz from 2016 to June 2020, Bart implemented company strategies, raised funding, and developed a core team. Bart also served as Chief Strategy Officer at QuantumScape, leading the company's transition to solid-state lithium battery technology, and as Founder and Chief Technology Officer at A123 Systems, where significant progress in lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery productization occurred. Bart's early career included a role as Senior Manager at AMSC, and academic credentials include a PhD and MS from Cornell University and a bachelor's degree from Middlebury College.
