Kenny Shim has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kenny is currently working at Xos Trucks, where they started in 2021 as a Sr. Financial Analyst and has since been promoted to Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. Kenny is currently serving as the Director of FP&A. Prior to joining Xos Trucks, Kenny worked at Apollo Global Management LLC from 2018 to 2021 in the role of AUM/Management Reporting. Kenny started their career at PwC in 2015 as a Core Assurance Associate, where they gained extensive knowledge of audit procedures and team structures. Kenny also has experience as a Library Consultant at the University of Richmond from 2012 to 2015, where they provided professional service and assisted patrons in improving productivity through library resources. Additionally, they have interned at both PricewaterhouseCoopers and Dongwan D. Chong CPA, where they gained practical experience in auditing and accounting respectively.

Kenny Shim attended Campbell Hall High School from 2007 to 2011. Following high school, they went on to study at the University of Richmond from 2011 to 2015. During their time at the University of Richmond, Kenny earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance. In addition to their formal education, Kenny has also obtained certification by passing the Level I exam of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program through the CFA Institute.
