Gaurav Shalin

Gaurav Shalin is a Machine Learning Engineer at XSENSOR® Technology Corporation since April 2021, with prior experience as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Waterloo from January 2019 to January 2021, where Gaurav developed machine learning models in Python for detecting and predicting freezing of gait episodes. Gaurav contributed to academia as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, facilitating code reviews and discussions on complex topics. Earlier roles include a Project Associate at the Integrated Optoelectronics Lab at IIT Madras and an Industrial Trainee at the Centre for Excellence in Telecom Technology and Management. Gaurav holds a MASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology.
