Hirotaka Oku

SVP Engineering at Xumo

Hirotaka Oku has over 20 years of work experience in engineering roles. Hirotaka started their career at Panasonic in 1999 as a Chief Software Engineer, where they worked on research and development projects for Digital TV and Smart TV platforms. Hirotaka also drove software projects for DVB-C/T receiver and developed multiple application features and flavors initially. Later on, they joined the Smart TV platform and service development project and developed over 100 different applications for Asian and Oceanian countries. In 2014, Oku joined XUMO as the VP of Engineering and later became the SVP of Engineering in August 2017.

Hirotaka Oku obtained their Master's degree from Kobe University between 1993 and 1999.
