Lalin Dias has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Lalin is currently serving as the Co-Founder and CEO of Yaala Labs since July 2018. Prior to this, they held the position of a Non-Executive Director at LinearSix, starting in January 2017.
Their most significant role was at LSEG Technology, where they worked for a total of 15 years. From February 2014 to March 2016, they served as the Vice President - Platform Development, where they established and managed the organization responsible for core technology and products. Lalin also led the company's Executive Committee during this time.
Previously, Lalin held various positions at LSEG Technology, including Vice President - Exchange Systems from April 2012 to January 2014, and Vice President Product Management - Exchange Systems from September 2007 to March 2012. In these roles, they were responsible for product development, pre-sales, implementation, and post-live support for the company's flagship product, Millennium Exchange.
Before joining LSEG Technology, Lalin worked as a Manager of Capital Markets Consulting from June 2005 to August 2007. Lalin led a team of more than 30 consultants and business analysts and was involved in multiple implementations of the company's trading platform. Prior to this, they served as a Capital Markets Consultant from January 2003 to May 2005, where they participated in the implementation of the trading platform at the American Stock Exchange and the Boston Stock Exchange.
Lalin began their career as an Assistant Manager at the Public Enterprises Reform Commission of Sri Lanka in December 1997. Lalin contributed to various reform initiatives in sectors such as aviation, telecom, energy, tourism, and retail until December 2000.
Overall, Lalin Dias has demonstrated strong leadership skills and expertise in technology, product management, and capital markets consulting throughout their career.
Lalin Dias attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1994 to 1997, earning a B.Sc degree in Economics.
