Adam Ackerman is a Medical Director of Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs at Yale New Haven Health, with extensive experience in hospital medicine and addiction medicine. Serving as the Associate Director of Hospital Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital since August 2015, Adam leads and mentors a large team of over 200 Hospitalists, overseeing significant patient care and discharge processes. Adam remains affiliated with Yale University School of Medicine as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Clinical Instructor while also being recognized as faculty in Addiction Medicine. Adam's prior experience includes serving as Chief of Hospital Medicine for the United States Department of the Air Force, where Adam earned the Meritorious Service Medal. Adam Ackerman holds an MD from Tufts University School of Medicine and has a background in music with a Master of Music degree from Boston University College of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Florida State University.
