Shandiin Brown

Shandiin Brown is a highly experienced professional in the field of Native American art and education, currently serving as the Henry Luce Curatorial Fellow for Native American Art at the RISD Museum since June 2021. In addition, Shandiin holds the position of Critic in the Department of Apparel at the Rhode Island School of Design, co-teaching an innovative course focused on fiber pathways. Previous roles include Art Consultant at the Barnes Foundation, Teaching Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, and Curatorial Assistant at the IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts. Shandiin's comprehensive experience is supported by a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College, with a double major in Anthropology and Native American Studies, complemented by a minor in Environmental Studies.
