Lorin Debonte

Lorin DeBonte is an experienced professional in the field of research and development, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Innovation at Yali Bio since January 2024. Prior to this role, Lorin was self-employed as a retired R&D leader and spent nearly three decades at Cargill, Inc. as an R&D Corporate Fellow, where responsibilities included addressing the challenges faced by global oil customers through innovative solutions and developing future R&D leaders. Additional roles at Cargill encompassed leadership responsibilities within global foodservice oil projects, integrating seed genetics with oil applications, and driving advancements in commercial canola oil releases. Lorin holds a PhD in Botany with a focus on Plant Genetics and Microbiology from Miami University and a BS in Biology from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
