Alexander Mazitov

Alexander Mazitov is a Senior Research Engineer and Team Lead at Yandex since March 2023, specializing in architecture and training research for YandexGPT, focusing on developing large language model pretraining and enhancing the Mixture of Experts architecture. Previously, Alexander served as an Applied Scientist at Sberbank from April 2019 to March 2023, leading product development and research in representation learning, and earlier held positions at PwC and SAP, where expertise included demand forecasting, pricing optimization, and predictive modeling across various sectors. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Information Technology from the Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation, graduated in 2018.
