Claudio Iovine is a seasoned engineer specializing in software and calibration with extensive experience in the automotive sector. Currently serving as a Software and Calibration Engineer at YASA since July 2021, Claudio previously held various roles at Changan UK R&D Centre Limited from October 2016 to July 2021, progressing from Engineer to Senior Engineer in Transmission Calibration and Driveline Integration. Prior experience includes positions at AVL as a Senior Engineer focused on Transmission Calibration DCT, and as a Transmission Calibration Engineer for Magneti Marelli. Claudio's career also features consultancy roles, such as working with Altran Italia S.p.A. on emission certification processes and conducting emission analysis during an internship at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche. Educational qualifications include a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II.

YASA was founded on the principle that small, light electric motors would play a growing role in meeting both the strict emissions targets being set globally in a wide range of industries and the requirement for greater efficiency through electrification.The Company was incorporated in 2009 based on a unique patented motor technology invented bythe Company’s founder and CTO Dr Tim Woolmer whilst studying for his DPhil at Oxford University. The unique YASA motor technology is ideal for a range of mobile applications such as hydraulics replacement, power generation, traction and propulsion and hybridisation. YASA Motors manufactures a range of standard electric motors and generators based on our unique motor topology at our factory and Company Headquarters in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The YASA-750, YASA-250 and YASA-400 products have been designed to be integrated into customers’ products in a range of markets and industries with minimal application engineering. In addition to our standard products, YASA has a design and development team dedicated to making bespoke motors for customers for medium-high volume applications.
