Davide Bernardi is an accomplished procurement and supply chain specialist with extensive experience in the aerospace and automotive sectors. Currently serving as Procurement Manager at YASA since May 2021, Davide leads the Procurement team while overseeing sourcing and commercial management for direct and indirect commodities. Prior to this role, Davide held multiple positions at Rolls-Royce from September 2008 to May 2021, including Global Commodity Manager, Strategy Development Manager, and Supply Chain Development Analyst, where responsibilities encompassed the procurement of vital materials for gas turbine products and the development of supply chain strategies, yielding significant savings. Davide's educational background includes an MBA from the University of Warwick and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Genova.

YASA was founded on the principle that small, light electric motors would play a growing role in meeting both the strict emissions targets being set globally in a wide range of industries and the requirement for greater efficiency through electrification.The Company was incorporated in 2009 based on a unique patented motor technology invented bythe Company’s founder and CTO Dr Tim Woolmer whilst studying for his DPhil at Oxford University. The unique YASA motor technology is ideal for a range of mobile applications such as hydraulics replacement, power generation, traction and propulsion and hybridisation. YASA Motors manufactures a range of standard electric motors and generators based on our unique motor topology at our factory and Company Headquarters in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The YASA-750, YASA-250 and YASA-400 products have been designed to be integrated into customers’ products in a range of markets and industries with minimal application engineering. In addition to our standard products, YASA has a design and development team dedicated to making bespoke motors for customers for medium-high volume applications.
