James Gibbs has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. James began their career at Riviana Foods in 1988, where they held various roles such as Planning Supervisor, Relief Supervisor, Superintendent, and Department Head. In 2000, they joined Imperial Sugar Company, where they served as a Customer Logistics and Planning Manager, Refinery Production Manager, and Packaging and Shipping Manager. Gibbs returned to Riviana Foods in 2004 and held positions including Plant Manager, Plant Manager & Corporate Engineering Manager, Director of Engineering & Facility Manager, and Director of Engineering. In 2017, they joined Sterling Foods as the Director of Engineering & Maintenance. In 2019, they moved to Dripping Springs Distilling as the Vice President Operations and later as the EVP, Operations. Currently, Gibbs works as the Vice President Operations at Yellowbird® since 2023.

James Gibbs attended Texas A&M University, where they pursued a degree in Mechanized Agriculture. James obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in this field of study.
