Michelle Mickelson has a strong background in the healthcare and wellness industry. Michelle currently serves as the Health and Wellness Director at the YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Group Exercise Instructor at the YMCA from September 2021 to April 2023. Michelle also has experience with Aetna, a CVS Health Company, where they served as a Behavioral Health Specialist from March 2019 to July 2022. Before that, they worked as a Clinical Coordinator for Aetna Better Health of Michigan from November 2014 to March 2019. Michelle's earlier experience includes working as a Palliative Care Social Worker at Bronson Healthcare from June 2011 to October 2014, and as a Social Worker at CompassionNet from April 2008 to June 2011.
Michelle Mickelson obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Michigan State University, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Michelle later pursued a Master's degree in Social Work at the University of Illinois Chicago, completing their studies in 1998.
