Asim Chin is an experienced professional currently serving as the Director of Technology & Innovation at YMCA of Northern Alberta, a position held since June 2006. With a comprehensive background in operational excellence, Asim has successfully led various initiatives, including the planning and implementation of the Salesforce ERP, overseeing significant improvements in quality and efficiency across business functions. In addition to project management, Asim has a robust history in strategic and operational leadership, managing program development, community engagement, and budgeting for multiple YMCA locations. Asim is also an independent recording artist, known for releasing two albums and receiving nominations at the EMAs. Academic achievements include a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Technology Management from Athabasca University and degrees in Sociology and Pharmacology from the University of Alberta.

YMCA of Northern Alberta is an independent charity that provides health, education and social services to communities including Red Deer, Edmonton, Grande Prairie and Fort McMurray (Wood Buffalo). It contributes to the mix of public, private, and charitable programs and facilities available to Canadians. As well, the YMCA has always been there to catch people who "fall between the cracks" of public systems and the marketplace. Our Health and Wellness Centres (gyms) are part of the YMCA's commitment to developing the potential of everyone's spirits, minds, and bodies. YMCA programs are responses to community needs. That is why a YMCA can look very different from community to community, country to country, and generation to generation. As needs change, so do the YMCA's program offerings.
