Dong Yun Lee

Dong Yun (Don) Lee, P.E. is a highly experienced engineer specializing in tire development and technology. Currently serving as Lead Engineer at Yokohama Tire Corporation since February 2024, Dong Yun oversees Original Equipment (OE) development. Previously, during a decade at NEXEN TIRE, Dong Yun held the position of VP & Head of the Nexen Tire America Tech Center, focusing on OE and replacement tire development for the North American market, advanced technology development, and organizational management. Prior to this role, Dong Yun worked as a Senior Engineer at The Engineering Institute LLC, providing consulting services in tire design and failure analysis. At Q Tires, Inc., Dong Yun was Director & Chief Engineer, where patented prototype retractable stud tires were developed. Dong Yun’s career began at Hankook Tire, where significant contributions were made as Principal Engineer, managing OE tire development for major Ford models and developing light truck and SUV tires. Dong Yun holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design Engineering from Hanyang University.
