Young Women's Preparatory Network
Lynn McBee serves as the Workforce Development Czar for the City of Dallas since January 2022, contributing expertise in workforce initiatives. As President and CEO of the Young Women's Preparatory Network since January 2014, Lynn leads the largest network of single-gender, college preparatory public schools in Texas, focusing on empowering young women with the academic and leadership skills necessary for success. Additionally, Lynn has been the South Central Manager at New England Biolabs for over 32 years, specializing in business development within the biotechnology sector and establishing partnerships across various fields. Previous experience includes roles as a Production Scientist and Research Scientist at Baylor College of Medicine from May 1990 to May 1992. Lynn earned a degree from The University of Texas at Austin between August 1986 and May 1990.

Young Women’s Preparatory Network is a network of all-girls public schools that partner with Texas Independent School Districts to implement our innovative educational model in economically disadvantaged neighborhoods. We serve over 4,300 students and have over 2,500 in-college alumnae. Our work enhances the educational experience of young women in Texas, bridging the gap between poverty and success in college. With this, we give our students a promise for a better life for themselves and their families!
