Judy Alter, CBAP, L.I.O.N., has a long history of work experience. In 1984, they began as a Senior Business Systems Analyst at Mutual of Omaha, providing technical and functional assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing systems, solutions, and procedures. In 2012, they became President of the Heartland IIBA Chapter. In 2015, they were appointed Regional Director of Central Americas at the International Institute of Business Analyses. In 2017, they became the Global Chapter Council Chair at IIBA, leading a group that is an advocating network for IIBA Chapters, Chapter Leadership and the business analysis profession globally. In 2020, they became the Head Business Analyst at Your Clear Next Step, LLC, providing Virtual and In-Person Business Analysis Training to individuals and companies. Currently, they are the CEO/Owner of Judy Alter Speaker & Business Analysis Services, LLC, pursuing their passions as a speaker at conferences, as well as partnering with Your Clear Next Step and Sinikka Waugh to do Business Analysis Virtual Coaching.

Judy Alter, CBAP, L.I.O.N. has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, obtained from 1977 to 1981, and a High School Diploma from Bellevue High School 1974-1977. Judy also holds several certifications, including PCS - Professional Customer Service from LOMA (2002), FLMI- Fellow Life Management Institute from LOMA (2001), ACS- Associate Customer Service from LOMA (1998), HIA- Health Institute Associate from Health Institute of America (1995), Certified Business Analysis Professional™ from International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) (2015), IIBA® Member from IIBA (2009), and IIBA® Chapter Leader from IIBA (2022).
