Vellu Halkosalmi

Vellu Halkosalmi is a skilled music educator and content delivery manager with extensive experience in the music industry. Currently, Vellu serves as the Content Delivery Manager at Yousician, where responsibilities include leading song content creation for GuitarTuna and assisting the product team in developing musical features. Previously, Vellu held the position of Education & Content Lead at Yousician, managing a team of music educators and overseeing music licensing data. As a Music Education Designer, Vellu contributed to syllabus design and content creation. Vellu also served as the Artistic Director of Turku Jazz Orchestra, guiding the organization in building a professional jazz orchestra. Earlier career roles include Head Teacher of Elementary Education at the Pop & Jazz Conservatory, where innovative teaching methods were developed. Vellu's educational background includes degrees in Music Theory, Composing, Arranging, and Electric Guitar from the Pop & Jazz Conservatory, along with additional studies at the Metropole Orchestra and Sibelius-Akatemia.
