Vani Henderson

Vani Henderson is a seasoned UX research and management professional currently serving as the UX Research Lead for YouTube Youth since October 2023. With extensive experience at Google since April 2007, Vani has held key positions including Senior Staff UX Manager for Consumer Trust and Google Maps, managing teams of up to 30 and establishing comprehensive research roadmaps across various product areas. Vani's expertise encompasses a wide array of UX research methodologies, facilitating critical user journeys and design workshops. In a recent role with Google.org, Vani led UX efforts for a pro-bono initiative aimed at developing a web platform for Black women in STEM. Vani's academic credentials include a PhD in Communication from the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Communication from Cornell University, and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Concordia University.
