Francesca El Ghossein

Francesca El Ghossein is a legal researcher and policy analyst who has worked with the National Association for Women and the Law, the Department of Justice Canada, and Field Law. Francesca is currently a Director at YWCA Edmonton.

El Ghossein obtained their law degree from the University of Ottawa in 2019 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020. During their time at law school, they worked as a research assistant on a variety of projects, including a project on cabinet secrecy with Professor Yan Campagnolo. Francesca also worked as a teaching assistant for first-year students.

El Ghossein has always been interested in advocating for gender equality and women's rights. In their role as Director at YWCA Edmonton, they work to empower women and girls through leadership development and skills training programs.

Francesca El Ghossein graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in Common Law, magna cum laude. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, from the University of Alberta.
