Yuan Shang Ding

Yuan Shang Ding is a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer at ZAP Surgical Systems, Inc. since June 2024, with previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer focusing on validation at Tesla. As a Data Science Consultant at Data Sleek LLC, Yuan Shang Ding developed time series forecasting models and optimized geospatial data for logistics, achieving significant cost reductions. Yuan Shang Ding also served as the Hardware/Mechanical Team Lead for the University of Toronto Autonomous Vehicle team, securing 1st place in the SAE AutoDrive Challenge 2022. Additional roles include a Data Science and Engineering Internship at Pratt & Whitney Canada and a Mechanical Engineering Internship at Veoneer. Yuan Shang Ding holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Toronto, alongside certifications and advanced coursework in automotive engineering from Nagoya University and George Brown College.
