Job description

About The Role:  We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Executive to support our health and wellness team.  You’ll collaborate within the team, provide sound counsel and recommendations to clients, and drive results inclusive of traditional and emerging public relations tactics for industry leading biotech and pharma clients.     You will succeed at Zeno if you are fearless, resourceful, tenacious, have an understanding of traditional and non-traditional PR tactics and the media landscape, and deliver impactful results for clients while building lasting relationships with your clients and team. 

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with client and vendor contacts & proactively manage correspondence.
  • Mentor junior employees and demonstrate ability to supervise & delegate tasks as necessary.
  • Develop and manage media relations programs, including building and maintaining relationships with health and business media.
  • Develop key messages in keeping with clients’ objectives and craft and develop newsworthy pieces based off key messaging.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete them on time and on budget.
  • Plan and support communication activities related to conferences, awards, speakers’ bureau, and other special events.
  • Practice effective project management while working with other team members and understand the “big picture” of the client program.
  • Research, interview, write, and edit news releases, supporting media materials, fact sheets, messaging documents and other communications materials, as needed.
  • Participate in the development of health campaign ideation, development and execution, data/regulatory milestone communication and planning.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in PR; agency experience with healthcare clients preferred.
  • Collaborative spirit, results driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines.
  • Excellent writing skills, demonstrated experience crafting newsworthy pitches, releases, contributed articles.
  • Highly organized.
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in media monitoring tools such as Cision, Muck Rack or similar platforms to track coverage, analyze trends, and generate insightful client reports.
  • Proven success in building relationships with members of the media and driving results for clients.
  • Strong presentation skills, with experience working directly with clients and actively participating in client meetings.
  • Think strategically, creatively, and holistically about client programs, fearless in presenting a point of view in brainstorms.
