Jose A Diaz-Ortiz has held a variety of roles in the banking and finance industry since 1996. Jose A began their career as Chairman of the Board of PR Value Exchange. From 2001 to 2006, they were President and CEO of Citifinancial of PR and President and CEO of RG Premier Bank. In 2008, they became a Member of the Board of Advisors of MasterCard WorldWide. In 2010, they were SVP and Head of Retail Business at Scotiabank de PR and VP Retail Banking, International Banking at Scotiabank. Jose A also served as President of the ASOCIACION DE BANCOS DE PUERTO RICO. From 2014 to 2018, they were Managing Director of Iké Asistencia and, since 2019, they have been Chief Executive Officer of ZENUS BANK. Additionally, they have been a Member of the Board of Island Finance LLC since 2018.
Jose A Diaz-Ortiz obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Universidad de Puerto Rico in 1976, majoring in Finance, General. Jose A then went on to obtain their MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 1989, majoring in Finance.
