Andrew Dickson is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in waste management and resource efficiency. Currently serving as Manager Business Investment at Zero Waste Scotland since August 2009, Andrew leads initiatives aimed at reducing waste, enhancing energy efficiency, and promoting sustainable water use within the framework of a low-carbon economy. Previous roles include Programme Manager for both the Circular Economy Investment Fund and Resource Industry Support, as well as Business Account Manager at Zero Waste Scotland. Andrew's earlier career includes positions such as R&D Manager at William Tracey Group, Regional Development Officer at the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management, and Compost Manager at Scottish Agricultural College. Andrew began the career as a Development Technologist at Devro (Scotland) Limited. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree from the University of Paisley, obtained between 1992 and 1996.
