Ann O’Connor

Head of LCA & Environmental Impact at Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center

Ann O'Connor currently serves as the Head of LCA and Environmental Impact at Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping since August 2021. Prior to this role, Ann held various positions at Maersk Supply Service from October 2018 to July 2021, focusing on sustainability and waste management solutions for offshore oil and gas infrastructure. Ann's experience also includes working as a Circular Economy Project Manager at Combineering A/S, where technical and commercial solutions were developed for the Ørsted Renescience project, and as a Laboratory Development Specialist at Enva, where an environmental toxicology laboratory was established. Ann has a robust background in environmental protection and laboratory analysis, having worked in both governmental and private sectors. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Environmental Chemistry and Health from Københavns Universitet and a Master's degree in Environmental Protection from The University Centre in Svalbard, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology from Munster Technological University.
