Torben Nørgaard is an experienced leader in energy and fuels, currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping since December 2020. In this role, Torben Nørgaard is a key member of the Leadership Team, focusing on scalable production pathways for low and zero emission fuels through strategic global partnerships. Previously, as Head of Energy & Fuels at the same center, Torben Nørgaard established a multidisciplinary research and development function aimed at achieving carbon neutrality in shipping. Past positions include Head of Energy Strategy and Planning at Ramboll, Commercial Manager at Total, and extensive commercial roles at Maersk Oil, where Torben Nørgaard oversaw the optimization of oil and gas developments. Torben Nørgaard's educational background includes a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from DTU and advanced studies in strategic management and leadership from IMD and Thunderbird School of Global Management.
