Julie Fisher-Somervell has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Julie currently works at Zespri International as the Global Demand Strategy Lead since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at ASB as a Strategy Facilitator from October 2016 to December 2021.
Julie started their career at EY in 2001 as a Business Risk Consultant and later worked as a Manager in Advisory Services. During their time at EY, they had a secondment to ASB where they assisted with reorganisation and strategic planning for the Audit & Assurance function.
Julie also has experience working at TVNZ as a Production Manager & Accountant, PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Assurance Manager, and Fonterra as an Assurance Manager in Global Assurance. At ASB Bank, they held various roles including Executive Manager, Strategy & Operations, Audit & Assurance and a secondment to Group Strategy.
Throughout their career, Julie has demonstrated a strong focus on strategy development and execution, leadership, and operational activities.
Julie Fisher-Somervell completed their education with a Bachelor's Degree in Strategic Management & Leadership, and Economics from the University of Waikato in the years 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they completed high school at St Peter's School, Cambridge, where they obtained a Bursary from 1994 to 1996. In 2007, they attended the South Seas Film & Television School and received a Diploma in Production Management (A+) and Presenting & Interviewing (A). In 2018, they took a course at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, specializing in the Playing To Win Strategy Framework.
