Zhiqiang Wan

Zhiqiang Wan is a Principal Applied Scientist specializing in Computer Vision at Zillow since January 2021, where contributions to the Rich Media Experience (RMX) team focus on indoor/outdoor scene understanding from images, including the development of a deep neural network for indoor layout estimation. Prior to this role, Zhiqiang served as a PhD Candidate and researcher at the University of Rhode Island from January 2016 to December 2020, engaging in Deep Learning, Machine Learning, and Deep Reinforcement Learning research. Zhiqiang also gained experience as a Research Intern at Facebook Reality Labs in 2019, working on object detection and 3D reconstruction for a scene understanding project. Educational qualifications include a PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Harbin Institute of Technology.
