Alex M. has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and social change. They have worked as the Director of Creative and Content at ZINC Network, overseeing the design and execution of campaigns aimed at creating measurable social change. They have also created successful digital channels, including the Zinc Facebook channel and a Russian-language digital channel. Prior to that, Alex was the Founding Editor of Zinc Online, a fast-growing independent social news channel. They also served as the Executive Producer and Head of the Video Department at Breakthrough Media, where they led a team focused on promoting positive social change. Before joining Breakthrough Media, Alex worked as a Freelance Producer/Director and series producer. They began their career at the BBC as a Producer/Director.
Alex M. obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Modern and Medieval Languages with a focus on Spanish and French from the University of Cambridge in 2001. In 2001, they pursued further education at the University of Cambridge and acquired an MPhil in Latin American Studies in 2001. Later, from 2008 to 2012, Alex M. attended the University of London, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Humanities and Cultural Studies.
