Mikhail Menshikov has extensive work experience in communications and public affairs. Mikhail currently serves as a Project Director at Zinc Network since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office for almost a decade, holding the position of Deputy Head of Communications and Public Affairs. In this role, they led a team of communication officers and managed various government campaigns on topics such as human rights, conflict resolution, and COVID-19. Mikhail also has experience working as the Acting Head of Communications and Public Affairs at the British Embassy in Moscow, as well as the Head of Media Relations at Omnicom. Earlier in their career, they served as a Press Secretary at the Ministry for State Property Management and as a Communications & Research Officer at the Interethnic Communications Research Centre.

Mikhail Menshikov has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Ural State University named after A.M.Gorky, which they obtained between 2006 and 2010. In 2011, they attended The University of Sheffield and completed a Master's degree in International Studies within a year. Additionally, in April 2019, they obtained a certification in "Leading with Stories" from LinkedIn.
