Eleanor Crane is an experienced engineer specializing in autonomy validation and aerospace engineering. Currently serving as an Autonomy Validation Engineer at Zipline since April 2024, Eleanor previously held the position of Distinguished Engineer at Matterport from January 2022 to November 2023. At Enview, where Eleanor worked from April 2015 to January 2022 as Chief Technology Officer and Principal Software Engineer, significant contributions were made towards automating large-scale 3D mapping to enhance energy infrastructure safety. Prior experience includes roles as a GNC/Software Engineer at Moon Express, an Aerospace Engineer at NASA Ames Research Center, and a Graduate Research Assistant at Stanford University. Eleanor holds a PhD and MS in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Stanford University, as well as a BS in the same field from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
