Kees Postma

Kees Postma has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Kees is currently working as a Principal Product Manager at Zivver since April 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Product Management at Ohpen from January 2021 to March 2022. Kees also worked as a Business Development Manager, Implementation Specialist, and Product Developer at Ohpen between 2018 and 2020.

Before entering the tech industry, Kees was involved in yacht racing. Kees worked as a Professional Racing Sailor at Kees Postma Yacht Racing Ltd. from September 2014 to August 2017, specializing in offshore yacht racing with top-performing teams. Kees achieved remarkable results, including class wins in prestigious races such as the Rolex Middle Sea Race and the RORC Transatlantic Race.

Kees also gained experience in the sports industry as a Global Brand Ambassador at Garmin from September 2013 to August 2014. Kees served as a Watch Captain at the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race from September 2013 to August 2014, leading a team across 50,000 miles of challenging ocean racing.

In terms of their early career, Kees worked at Ohpen as a Product Developer, contributing to the development of their cloud-based core banking platform and designing the migration process for the world's first complete bank migration to the cloud. Kees started at Ohpen in June 2012 and left in July 2013. Kees also had a short internship at Ohpen as a Summer Intern in 2011.

Before their involvement in the tech and sports industries, Kees gained experience in finance. Kees worked as a Trainee Junior Consultant at Coresta Finance in 2011 and also had a summer internship there in 2010, where they focused on cash flow modeling and market analysis for real estate investment funds.

Kees Postma has a diverse education history. Kees obtained a BSc in Investment and Financial Risk Management from Cass Business School. Additionally, they completed a full-stack web development bootcamp at Le Wagon. Prior to that, they earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma and a Middle & High School Diploma from Antwerp International School. Alongside their education, Kees has also obtained several certifications, including a Cruising Instructor certification from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), an ISAF Offshore Safety certification from the International Sailing Federation, and a Yachtmaster Offshore with Commercial Endorsement from the RYA.
