Jake Williams

Jake Williams is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) since 2024, previously serving as a PhD Researcher at Imperial College London from 2020 to 2024. Prior to this, Jake held the position of Conservation Design and Impact Deputy Manager at ZSL from 2016 to 2020, focusing on conservation strategy and design. Jake also worked as a Policy Adviser at HM Treasury from 2014 to 2016, specializing in EU institutions and policies, and as a Scientific Consultant for Wild Business Ltd, providing expertise in natural capital and biodiversity. Jake's experience includes a brief tenure as a Postgraduate Researcher with UNEP-WCMC and an internship in Conservation Finance at Conservation Capital. Jake holds a PhD in Ecosystem Science from Imperial College London, a Master's degree in Biodiversity Conservation and Management from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor's degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of York.
