Lionel Garcia

Lionel Garcia is an experienced operations leader with a strong background in autonomous vehicle technology and operations management. Currently serving as Operations Team Lead and L5 Software/Vehicle Operator at Zoox since October 2019, Lionel collaborates closely with developers and engineers on fully autonomous vehicles. Prior experience includes roles at Cruise Automation as an Instructor for Alpha Ops L3 Vehicle/Software Operations and Senior Test Operator, and at China Peak as a Hotel Supervisor, where responsibilities included front desk management and staff supervision. Additionally, Lionel worked as a Shipping Receiving Supervisor at Thrift Center, overseeing shipment coordination and merchandise placement. Lionel holds degrees in Biology and Multi-/Interdisciplinary Studies from California State University, Fresno, and Fresno City College.
