Marin Kobilarov is an accomplished academic and engineering professional with significant experience in robotics and automated systems. Since August 2012, Marin has served as an Associate Professor and previously as an Assistant Professor at The Johns Hopkins University. In parallel, Marin has held the position of Principal Engineer for Planning and Control at Zoox Inc. since November 2015. Prior to these roles, Marin was a Post-doctoral Fellow at the California Institute of Technology from April 2009 to June 2012. Marin earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Robotics from the University of Southern California and holds a combined Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from Trinity College-Hartford.
