Samantha Schoell

Samantha Schoell is a seasoned engineer specializing in occupant protection and safety, with a comprehensive background in vehicle integration and biomechanical research. Currently serving as a Senior Vehicle Integration Engineer at Zoox since October 2019, Samantha previously held positions at NIO as a Senior Engineer focusing on occupant safety CAE and at Wake Forest Baptist Health as a Senior Research Associate. Samantha's academic credentials include a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Virginia Tech - Wake Forest University, as well as a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Temple University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Research contributions include the development of parametric finite element models of the human rib cage and assessments of thoracic response in various impact scenarios.
