Stefano Cattani

Stefano Cattani is a seasoned professional in the field of computer vision and perception for autonomous driving, currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Zoox since October 2022, where responsibilities include 3D perception for self-driving cars. Prior to this role, Cattani held positions as Head of Perception and Fusion - AI/AD at Stellantis and as a Senior Software Engineer in perception at Zoox. With extensive experience at VisLab, Cattani led a team focused on the design, implementation, and deployment of advanced computer vision and machine learning algorithms for autonomous driving, including key applications such as obstacle detection and motion forecasting. Cattani also co-founded the computer vision program at Università degli Studi di Parma, where contributions included serving as Adjunct Professor and engaging in research as a fellow and postdoctoral researcher. Academic credentials include a PhD in Computer Engineering from Università degli Studi di Parma, along with a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the same institution.
